Down the Rabbit Hole: “That’s pretty darn obscure if I do say so myself.”

2 min read

We’ve all done it. You search for one thing on Wikipedia but end up spending an hour on the site. Going down the Rabbit Hole. Once you’re done, you feel mixed. Although you are glad to have “learned so much,” you are also angry at yourself for allowing this to happen. But I have created a short rabbit hole (kind of), but it feels long. It allows you to forget about the surrounding world and to relax. This is the fifth and last of five “Down the Rabbit Hole” posts. In each of these posts, there will be a list of clues starting with a Wikipedia link. These clues will lead you to links until you reach the end of the rabbit hole. In each Rabbit Hole, there will be approximately 20 clues. So, please begin.

  1. Kyrgyzstan
  2. If you say it out loud, your brain forces you to go slow whilst pronouncing it. Second paragraph, second or third link. You can figure out which one. Trust me.
  3. First link under “Periodization.”
  4. If you remove the “k” and the little dots above the letters, it sounds like you’re cheering for the Turks. Just start reading from the top.
  5. Their religion.
  6. Hungary had its own religion?… It’s under “Related Movements.” (Sidebar)
  7. Second link, second paragraph.
  8. The only proto-language. (Sidebar)
  9. Another name for the Urals. (Sidebar)
  10. “Before the rapid expansion of…”
  11. Under “Acquisition of the Wild Fields” its the fourth link.
  12. Their fortress in the fourth paragraph.
  13. The first treaty mentioned. Man, I HATE treaties.
  14. The town that the treaty was named was named has a new name. What is this name?
  15. The HISTORICAL region that it’s in.
  16. Last link in the second paragraph.
  17. The seventh link in the first paragraph. (Not including the pronunciation or the citations.)
  18. The eighth link in the second paragraph.
  19. You will recognize the link in the third paragraph.
  20. Click on the link that leads to the page that started this quest. (In Wikipedia)
  21. You made it out!

Congratulations! You have reached the end of all of the rabbit hole posts. I will be back next week to get back to my normal style of posts. See you then!
